Bike path : on foot, by bike, on horse back, on a carriage or for a stroll in pushchair... On the former railway line converted to a green path for a safe stroll. Discover the interpretive trail about trees and plants along the trail, created by the pupils of Lescure school.

This beautiful mountain lake (1000 m altitude) is car-accessible and with parking facilities, at about a 30 minutes drive away from Saint-Girons.
Nearby, sleighing and snowshoeing possibilities can be found. Handicapped Acces.
Walking around the lake is possible with a stroller.
During winter, do get informed about the road conditions.

Access : from Saint-Girons, take the D 618 road in the direction of Castillon. Cross the town and drive on until you get to the Bordes sur Lez village. Turn left taking the D 7 road into the Bethmale valley. A 10 km drive will take you to the lake. 
Itinerary can be taken via the village of Seix and the Col de la Core pass (pass closed during the winter).

Valier Nature ReserveHiking in the Valier Nature Reserve

Strolling along the interpretive trail, discover the beautiful Valier nature reserve : play with the trees, move around like a squirrel, learn how to identify raptors, … Stroller accessible.
Parking space, public toilets, picnic tables and restaurant (by reservation).

Access : from Saint-Girons, take the D618 road in the direction of Castillon en Couserans and then Sentein. Turn left into the Ribérot Valley and drive on until you get to the parking space.

This mountain lake offers an ideal interpretive trail for families and is also recommended for angling (angling permits and gear rental on site). In winter, the lake becomes a Nordic site of hiking, sleigh-riding and snowshoeing.
Parking space, public toilets, picnic tables and catering.

Access : from Saint-Girons, take the D618 road in the direction of Massat and then follow the D18 until you get to the lake.
